Free Courses for the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

Hurry: deadline for registration closes on the 15th May 2020

Although most sectors will be able to start recovering as soon as the restrictive measures are lifted, the tourism sector will most likely have a longer-lasting effect due to international travel restrictions. This challenge will leave employees within the tourism sector with significant downtime.

Let us take this downtime as an opportunity to upskilling our competencies.

The Ministry for Tourism and Consumer Protection, in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority, is launching a wide-reaching e-learning training scheme for the tourism industry. Whilst tourism is on hold, this incentive aims at making the best use of employee and employer resources in these challenging times and empower the workforce to come back stronger and better. The training will be by necessity of an on-line nature with no class contact at this stage and will be available to all categories of employees, ranging from managerial to frontline staff.

These will be fully funded by the MTA and so, are free for both individuals and companies.

E-learning offers the opportunity for employees to achieve certifications, the chance to help them prepare for the new ways of working, and the possibility to return to their employment with better skills. As we move forward from this pandemic, all the learning and development will ensure employees are equipped with adapting faster to change and better recover from this unprecedented crisis.

Mdina International, a specialist in tailor made management and sales development courses has teamed up with Jugs Malta and Business Leaders Malta to offer a series of e-training courses to the hospitality and tourism industry during these testing times which the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about. This consortium offers a unique blend of experience that will ensure a very real and practical learning experience that is immediately applicable to day-to-day industry needs. Additionally, the three companies are also in the service industry and can empathise with the challenges of hospitality and equally value giving stellar service.

A wide variety of courses is being offered to address the wide range of skill-set required within the industry. These courses range from sales & marketing skills to negotiation with clients as well as communication and intrapersonal skills to online quiz and treasure hunts to enhance and promote teambuilding within the industry as well as specific marketing subjects such as marketing Malta overseas and a specific topic for the Conference & Events industry.

The range of e-training courses, which are open to both companies and individuals employed within the tourism industry, can be accessed by clicking on the following link www.elearninghospitality.com
